Five lessons learned from migrating a mature DITA model to a new CCMS
Whether it’s your first CCMS or you’ve been around this block before, implementing a new system can be challenging. Find out how Jack Henry & Associates, an early DITA adopter, migrated their content to a new system. Marlo Miller and Cathy Jones describe how they prepared their team, the ups and downs of the implementation process, and where they plan to go next. Their top five lessons learned (out of many!) will be valuable to organizations at any stage of the CMS implementation process, whether you’re considering your first or considering a change.
What can the audience expect to learn?
This presentation will show how and why a company with a mature DITA model and existing CMS decided to implement an enterprise CMS, and it will share some lessons learned along the way. We’ll cover:
• Our reasons for implementing a new CMS
• How we got department and management buy-in
• Tools that contributed to our success
• Some of the positive outcomes
• Plans for the future
