From Challenge Comes Opportunity – Overcoming the Challenges of Moving to a New CCMS
After company-wide restructuring and a series of personnel changes, BlackBerry’s Enterprise Documentation team was faced with a unique challenge: how do you maintain a complex CCMS and in-house documentation website when the IT team that administered those resources no longer exists?
From challenge comes opportunity. As a team of experienced and resilient technical writers, we sought out a new CCMS that would give us complete control over how we create and provide content to our customers.
This presentation will focus on why we chose the XML Documentation Solution for Adobe Experience Manager as our new CCMS, the details of how we planned and executed our year-long migration, and how we overcame the challenges we faced in our first 6 months live in the new tool.
What can the audience expect to learn?
The presentation will be useful to anyone who is interested in learning more about how to select a good CCMS, how to plan and execute a successful migration into a new CCMS (whether it’s their first CCMS or a replacement), and to gain a better understanding of the challenges involved in adopting and launching a new CCMS without disrupting day-to-day operations.
